CHSN and Weigel Broadcasting’s The U Partner for Second Consecutive Season

CHICAGO – MARCH 19, 2026 – Chicago Sports Network (CHSN) and Weigel Broadcasting Co.’s WCIU, The U, announced today a partnership to simulcast ten Chicago White Sox games during the 2026 season, including four Crosstown Series matchups against the Chicago Cubs.

The simulcasts will feature CHSN’s complete game presentation, including White Sox Countdown Live and White Sox Postgame Live, hosted by Chuck Garfien and Ozzie Guillén. A fan favorite among White Sox viewers, the shows combine insightful analysis with Guillén’s trademark candor and humor, creating an energetic and entertaining look at the game before and after first pitch.

The schedule includes all three Crosstown Series home games against the Cubs at Rate Field in May, along with one Crosstown matchup at Wrigley Field in August.

The ten games to be simulcast on CHSN and The U include:

  • Friday, May 8 vs. Seattle (6:40 p.m. CT)
  • Friday, May 15 vs. Cubs (6:40 p.m. CT)
  • Saturday, May 16 vs. Cubs (6:10 p.m. CT)
  • Sunday, May 17 vs. Cubs (1:10 p.m. CT)
  • Sunday, June 14 vs. Los Angeles-NL (1:10 p.m. CT)
  • Saturday, June 27 vs. Kansas City (3:10 p.m. CT)
  • Friday, July 10 vs. Athletics (6:40 p.m. CT)
  • Wednesday, July 29 vs. New York-AL (6:40 p.m. CT)
  • Monday, August 17 at Cubs (7:05 p.m. CT)
  • Friday, September 4 vs. Minnesota (6:40 p.m. CT)


Several of the simulcasts will take place on Friday nights, giving fans a chance to experience CHSN’s Friday Night All Access. The network’s signature behind-the-scenes broadcast features mic’d up players, exclusive camera angles, and in-game storytelling that brings viewers closer to the personalities and moments that define White Sox baseball.
